Main Campus students - Use SSO to login to Blackboard
(Monday, August 10, 2026)
Dear Main Campus Students,
We have an exciting change to share. Southwestern College's Blackboard now uses Single Sign-On (SSO). You will log in with your college Microsoft account. You will no longer use a separate Blackboard username and password. Please note that this initial phase only applies to the Main Campus students. Students in the Global Campus will continue to login using their existing Blackboard credentials at this time.
Why this is a good change:
SSO makes login easier. You use one account for Blackboard, email, and other college tools. You only need to remember one password. It also improves security. Your account is better protected against unauthorized access.
Important: Clear your browser cache first
Before you log in, please clear your browser's cache and cookies. This step prevents conflicts with your old Blackboard login. Old login data can cause errors or login loops. Clearing your cache helps avoid these problems. If you need help clearing your cache, your browser's help page has simple instructions: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/
How to log in with SSO:
If you haven't done so, please clear your browser's cache.
Click Login with your SCKANS Microsoft Account from the menu that appears.
Since you have just cleared your browser's cache, you will be prompted to login to your SCKANS Microsoft account. Please follow the steps you received in a separate email and login to your student Microsoft account.
After a few seconds, you should see your Blackboard home page.
